First Fruits Friday - Celebrating Our Babies
Last week, Seneca hosted a Baby Shower for our moms who are in their third trimester of pregnancy, or have a newborn. We were honored, and celebrated with joy, eight beautiful mothers and their babies! We praise God that He saw fit to allow these beautiful moms to become pregnant. What a miracle!
The sun came out for these moms - this is their new beginning! God is with them, and they honor Him by choosing Life and following His plan in their lives, with the surety that God will help them all the way. We know that fear and anxiety are a part of every mom’s journey, but God is with them. When they are tired, God will be their rest. When they are weary, God will be their strength. When they are confused, God will give them wisdom. Our trust is in Him!
When we met these eight mothers on the sidewalk they were in a dark place. Destructive thoughts were on their mind. They were scared, confused, and in crisis. But, months later at this Baby Shower, they were happy, laughing, talking about baby names, and just cherishing their little ones. What a powerful moment to witness! In months, these moms were in a completely different place, and their hearts were filled with joy!
As God is weaving these children together in their wombs, we are filled with joy and praise. We worship our God the giver of life, and the creator, of these children. I know that as we were celebrating together in the Baby Shower, His presence was with us, and we were honoring Him and His plan in these mothers’ lives.
These precious babies were set apart for God’s glory. May God use these children to lead many to His saving love. We commit these children to His almighty keeping and we praise God in advance for all that He will do through these children’s lives! Amen.
